Historic house in Marietta, OH features Gothic Revival style architecture, tours, special events and activities for all ages.

History
The Betsey Mills was founded in 1911 under the name The Girls’ Monday Club.  The Monday Club was the result of a sewing class started in 1898 in Marietta by Mrs. Betsey Mills and other community minded women.  The first permanent home of the Monday Club was the white frame house on the corner of Fourth and Putnam Streets.
The home was donated by Mr. and Mrs. William Mills in 1916.  The home became the nucleus of the present complex constructed by Mr. Mills as a memorial to his wife.  The Betsey Mills as you see it today was dedicated on June 13, 1927 and donated by Mr. Mills to the community of Marietta.
Today, the Betsey continues to offer programs and services for every member of the community. Pool Therapy, Warm Water Arthritis Workout, and Yoga are just a few of the many health enhancement programs available at the Betsey.  Programs include a state licensed Day Care and Preschool Center, Red Cross Authorized swim lessons, and classes for all ages.  Rooms are also available for meetings, special events and classes. The needs and desires of community members determine what classes and activities are offered. The Betsey Mills has always offered safe and secure housing for women in our dormitories on the second floor.  The residents enjoy the peaceful nature of downtown living at a low weekly rate.  The Betsey will continue to offer housing at low rates due to the support of the community through donations and volunteering for functions throughout the year.

  1. Hello, my name is Tia Martin. I know this is last minute however I planned a birthday party for this Saturday the 20th at our home. The weather is looking terrible and I’m trying to find an indoor gym to rent that will accommodate an indoor bouncy house. I would like to rent fhe gym from 2-5 if any way possible. Thank you for your time
